Skin Tag/Mole Removal

Skin tag and mole removal are cosmetic procedures that involve removing unwanted growths from the skin. Skin tags are small, soft, and usually benign growths that are typically found on the neck, armpits, and groin area, while moles are often darker and may be raised or flat.

At The Sculpture, we offer several different methods for removing skin tags and moles, including:

• Excision: This involves cutting the skin tag or mole off with a scalpel or surgical scissors. This method is typically used for larger skin tags or moles.

• Cryotherapy: This involves freezing the skin tag or mole with liquid nitrogen. The cold temperature destroys the cells, causing the growth to fall off.

• Electrocautery: This involves using an electric current to burn off the skin tag or mole. This method is typically used for smaller growths.

• Laser removal: This involves using a laser to destroy the cells of the skin tag or mole.

The procedure can typically be completed in a single office visit and may take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour, depending on the size and location of the growth. Patients may experience some mild discomfort during the procedure, but this can usually be managed with local anesthesia.
